Our guests are as unique as the house itself, but they all have one thing in common. Whether you are here for the climbing, the walking, the excitement of white-water sports or simply to explore the lakes on a long weekend, everyone loves the relaxed atmosphere and luxurious surroundings Lonsdale has to offer. Returning hand in hand from a meal in the nearby restaurants or a drink in the local pubs and strolling down the winding driveway, you will feel a million miles from the cares of the world.
Food
Lonsdale is fully equipped to help you prepare food for your stay with its 4 ovens and 2 dishwashers, catering for up to 14 people will be made much easier. Penrith is well serviced with supermarkets to suit all tastes. It has Aldi, Sainsbury’s, Morrison’s, Booths and our own prize winning butchers Cranstons specialising in locally sourced produce and home made foods you will want to take home with you! Should you want to prearrange a chef and kitchen staff, please ask for details. If not, you can always indulge yourself at any of the wonderful restaurants in and around Penrith. We are happy to recommend the best local places and there is plenty of choice from family dining to intimate, romantic, meals.
